Whoever said "The challenge is half the fun"
was only half correct.
It's all the fun. Kids love a challenge. (And so do the rest of us who still have some kid left inside.) Climbing, jumping, taking a dare — that's what gets us going. And that's when play becomes adventure. At Banning Lewis Ranch, we're creating play spaces that exercise not just young arms and legs, but also imaginations and character. It's amazing how a little "I can do this" can do wonders for a kid's self-confidence.
Adventure Play
Adventure play is multi-level, like a video game that presents an increasing degree of difficulty as you master each stage. For example, Climbers Park in Northtree village will include a series of climbing boulders. A four-year-old can easily clamber up the small boulder. As the years go by and her skills improve, she can advance to tougher ascents on the medium and large boulders.
