We think life will be better here.
In fact, we're planning on it.
Have we outgrown small town living? Has the speed and complexity of our modern age ruled out things like balance and simplicity? Or have these elements disappeared from our lives because our newer communities weren't designed to promote them? What would happen if we made a conscious effort to return to "small"?
Small would mean that schools, parks and community features are closer to home - maybe close enough to walk to. So small would also mean less time in the car and more time outside. More time spent with friends and family. More time meeting new friends who also happened to be walking to school or jogging along a trail. See, this is working better already.
In terms of the architecture, small would mean human-scale rather than monstrous or institutional. And it would mean paying attention to the little things, like color and architectural detail. So the homes and the community centers and the schools would seem more inviting. And people would feel good just being in the neighborhood.
Life just seems better when it's lived on a more intimate scale. That's why our goal for this master-planned community is to take this land and create attractive, intelligent, interconnected neighborhoods - and thereby rediscover the pleasures of small town life.
